Black Sun is a project that was worked on from scratch, although it is worth mentioning that the corporate already had some stores in Mexico City under the name Optikal.
After conducting a small survey on the perception of the previous name, it was concluded that the perceived image was very different from the concept, product offered and style of stores that existed.
We looked for a referential name that had a relationship with the products offered, but that was conceptual and modern, it was like putting glasses on the Sun. Black Sun tells us a confident and modern man, who is afraid to wear glasses during all day and in some special places at night. A real Rock Star.
Everything falls into place for a reason: naming, branding, product and location. What better place to show off a Rock Star look.
"Halt the light" as part of Storytelling gave us the tools to boast magnificent branding with fun and different applications that reflect personality.
The logo , with its hard but simple lines, conveys innovation and exclusivity, the emotional touch that Black Sun needs for its store, which is also innovative and unique in its way of displaying.
Retail Design is the cornerstone of Black Sun, with its open display that invites every visitor to come in and try on all the glasses until they find the ideal style. The display is made up of small, well-lit display cases mounted on the perimeter furniture, arranged by brand, for all those who are not so much looking for a style but rather the prestige of a name.
We have central islands for launches or clearance products, which also serve as storage for products and supplies for the store. The counter is located in the center of the store, allowing for 2 checkout points so as not to keep customers waiting and to provide excellent service during peak seasons.
The comprehensive project carried out for the company Optikal, called "Black Sun" is a clear example of the mix of disciplines and specialties that intervene to create profitable projects loaded with a shopping experience designed and planned to amaze its visitors.
